Business Development Representative

We are looking for a motivated, confident, and results-driven Business Development Representative to join an exciting new team within one of our businesses at CluneTech.
In this role, you will engage with prospective and existing customers by telephone, taking the time to understand their needs, introduce relevant products and services, and convert opportunities into sales. You will play a key role in building strong customer relationships and contributing to the growth of the business.
This is a target-driven position that would suit someone who enjoys communicating with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is motivated by achieving and exceeding goals.
This role is based in our Kilkenny office, with a requirement to work onsite a minimum of three days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Make outbound calls to prospective and existing customers.
Respond to sales enquiries and follow up on leads.
Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products or services.
Build strong relationships with customers over the phone.
Generate new sales and maximise opportunities from existing customers.
Achieve agreed individual and team sales targets.
Maintain accurate customer records and update the CRM system.
Follow up quotations, enquiries and previous conversations.
Handle customer questions and objections professionally.
Work closely with the wider sales and customer service teams.
Provide regular updates on sales activity and performance.
Maintain a professional and positive approach at all times.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Confident and comfortable speaking to customers on the telephone.
Friendly, professional and persuasive.
Highly motivated and results-driven.
Comfortable working towards sales targets.
A good listener with excellent communication skills.
Organised and able to manage multiple leads and follow-ups.
Resilient and able to handle rejection positively.
Comfortable using computers, CRM systems and standard office software.
Previous telesales or sales experience is an advantage, but full training can be provided for the right candidate.

You will be expected to consistently generate sales opportunities, convert leads into customers, achieve agreed sales targets and contribute positively to the overall performance of the sales team.
